RCCs will be sexual health providers who are committed to the aims of the project and who will be prepared to take responsibility for the CDSSH project at their local level. They will provide help and advice to NHS colleagues at varying levels to explain the CDSSH project and to help review staffing and IT resources in readiness for implementation in 2006. The RCCs will also form the conduit between the various regions and the CDSSH centre, sharing information on issues including NPfIT progress, lessons learned and good practice. The roles are voluntary though basic expenses will be covered. Essential Competencies include: · At least 5 years’ NHS experience in providing sexual health care · Ability to maintain and manage a matrix of relationships and interactions with both internal and external NHS staff at a variety of levels · General knowledge of IT projects/programmes including NPfIT.
